Acid Washed

Acid Washed is a Parisian electronic project bringing together the duo Richard d’Alpert and Andrew Claristidge around a hybrid approach combining house, disco, electro and acid-tinged reminiscences. Active since the late 2000s, Acid Washed attracted attention with a series of maxis and remixes released on the French label Record Makers, before issuing a first self-titled album in 2010 that situates their world between Italo‑disco references, new wave heritage and contemporary club culture. Their music relies on repetitive basslines, melancholic synthetic melodies and dancefloor-oriented structures, while giving significant space to textures and transitions, allowing the duo to move between DJ formats and live configurations. Appearing on various stages across France and Europe, Acid Washed is part of a network of producers and labels focused on independent electronic music, producing studio collaborations, remixes and compilation appearances that extend the dialogue between their production work and the club culture that shaped them.
