Seba
Born in Sweden, Sebastian Ahrenberg, under the name Seba, has developed a career centered on atmospheric and melodic drum and bass, with incursions into house and techno over the years. Active since the mid-1990s, Seba drew attention with Lotek on the single 'Sonic Winds' in 1995, then through a series of productions aligned with the deep and ambient drum and bass aesthetics of the time. Based in Stockholm, he launched in 1997 the Secret Operations parties, which later became the name of his label, officially relaunched in the early 2000s and mainly devoted to his own releases. Seba has also worked under the alias Forme and participated in the Sunday Brunch project with Jesper Dahlbäck, in a house style that is more minimal and hushed, documented notably by the album No Resistance in 2002. In the drum and bass sphere, his career includes collaborations with Paradox, Robert Manos, Kirsty Hawkshaw or Lenk, and a constant taste for airy textures, sharp breaks and detailed harmonies. The Beats Me album with Paradox appeared in 2006, followed by Return to Forever in 2008 and Identity in 2013. Since then Seba continues to circulate between clubs, festivals and specialist scenes, with a style that remains focused on precise, fluid, and often contemplative drum and bass.
