Ruth Lorenzo

Born in Las Torres de Cotillas, in the Murcia region, Ruth Lorenzo develops a career between Spain and the English-speaking world that leaves a lasting mark on her musical identity, at the crossroads of pop, rock and a vocal craft nourished by operatic singing. Discovered in the United Kingdom in 2008 through her participation in The X Factor, where she reached the semifinals, Ruth Lorenzo then continues her career between British, Irish and Spanish stages, alternating original compositions, concerts and independent projects. After several singles released in the early 2010s, she represented Spain at Eurovision 2014 with "Dancing in the Rain," before releasing the same year her first album, Planeta azul (2014), followed by Loveaholic (2018). Her repertoire blends pop ballads, rock tensions, dance-pop-tinged refrains and expressive interpretation, in a format designed as much for the stage as for radio-friendly songs. Ruth Lorenzo also collaborated with Jeff Beck on Loveaholic and co-wrote for other artists. Parallel to her discography, she has held a regular place on Spanish television, as a contestant, presenter or contributor, while continuing her tours and personal projects, including more recent releases such as the EP La reina and the album Black Sheep (2025).
