Banane Metalik

Banane Metalik is a French band formed in the early 1990s and a pioneer of the style they call gore’n’roll — an explosive blend of punk rock, rockabilly, horror punk and deliberately over-the-top “gore” imagery. From the beginning they built a distinctive world of macabre makeup, Grand-Guignol aesthetics and radical stage performances that blurred the line between concert and spectacle. Over the years Banane Metalik has developed a ferocious yet catchy sonic identity, driven by razor-sharp riffs, unfiltered punk energy and a playful appetite for provocation. Albums such as Sex, Blood and Gore’n’Roll, Nice to Meat You and The Gorefather have rallied an international community drawn to this unique cocktail of black humor, saturation and exploitation-culture references. Still active, the band members continue to tour France and Europe — playing clubs, alternative festivals and nights dedicated to extreme subgenres — sustaining their underground benchmark status while continually renewing their visual and musical universe.
