Scott Bradlee
Born on Long Island in the state of New York, Scott Bradlee is an American pianist, arranger and producer whose work sits at the intersection of jazz and pop reinterpretation. After releasing his first videos in the late 2000s, Bradlee established Postmodern Jukebox in New York, a collective with a rotating lineup that transforms contemporary songs into versions inspired by swing, ragtime, doo‑wop, retro soul or cabaret. The project took shape in the early 2010s and has involved, at various times, singers and musicians from the jazz, pop and musical‑theatre scenes, including Haley Reinhart, Morgan James and Ariana Savalas. Bradlee’s writing relies on acoustic arrangements, jazz harmonies and a marked attention to vocal and instrumental styles from the 1920s to the 1960s, with an approach that shifts pop codes toward older forms of American music. Alongside Postmodern Jukebox’s international tours, Bradlee has also released recordings under his own name focused on piano, standards and reimagined covers.
