Sam Tiba
French producer and DJ Sam Tiba emerged in the early 2010s in the wake of Club Cheval, a quartet formed with Canblaster, Myd and Panteros666, at the intersection of house, rap, R&B and club music. For more than a decade Sam Tiba has alternated DJ sets, live shows and studio work, with a trajectory that moves between the electronic stage and production for other artists. As a solo artist he develops a rhythmic, percussive aesthetic where the energy of club music meets hip‑hop beatmaking, with a marked taste for contrasts between dry sequences, pronounced basslines and more melodic passages, sometimes linked to an interest in classical music. This approach has led him to produce for international artists such as Theophilus London — notably on "Can't Stop" with Kanye West — as well as for KOHH and several French rappers including Zola, Nelick and 7 Jaws. Sam Tiba's career can thus be read as a constant back-and-forth between collective projects, rap production and club electronic music on both French and international scenes.
