Pole Folder

Based in Brussels, Benoît Franquet develops, under the name Pole Folder, a musical path rooted in electronic music—initially in the European progressive house of the early 2000s, and later moving toward a style closer to melodic techno, tech house and a deep house characterised by atmospheric textures. Pole Folder emerged around the turn of the millennium when his track “Apollo Vibes”, produced with CP, was picked up by John Digweed for the Global Underground series. Subsequent releases such as “Enter the Rhythm / Waxxx” and “Dust” established his name on club stages and with specialist labels. Since then, Pole Folder has alternated between studio productions, DJ sets and live performances while broadening his palette with more melodic writing and vocal collaborations — notably with Shelley Harland, Sandra Ferretti and Kirsty Hawkshaw as part of a project for Bedrock Records. His trajectory also includes releases on labels such as Sunkissed, Mo-Do, Mashtronic and Proton Music. In 2010 Pole Folder launched Reworck, a digital label that supports this evolution and bridges an approach aimed at both club formats and attentive listening.
