PETDuo

Born in São Paulo from the meeting of Brazilian Anne Gelfei and Frenchman David Elie Merlino, PETDuo has developed since the late 1990s a club-oriented techno approach at the intersection of hard techno, schranz and a tense industrial aesthetic. PETDuo’s work, both in DJ sets and in production, relies on high tempos, dry rhythms, dark textures and continuous progression, prioritizing the physical impact of sound over stylistic effects. Initially rooted in the Brazilian electronic scene, PETDuo later integrated into the international circuits associated with the harder forms of techno, with regular appearances in clubs and festivals across Europe, Latin America and Asia. The duo’s dynamic, based on a tightly coordinated interplay, shapes PETDuo’s identity onstage and in releases alike, between original tracks and remixes—always in a direct, fast and functional line.
