Robyn
Born in Stockholm in 1979, Robyn developed a pop repertoire early on and came to prominence in the mid-1990s with the album “Robyn Is Here” (1995), driven by R&B and dance singles that established her on the international stage. She followed with “My Truth” (1999) and “Don't Stop the Music” (2002), still within the Swedish pop industry, before founding her own label, Konichiwa Records, and shifting toward a more electronic sound with “Robyn” (2005), which synthesized pop songwriting, electro-pop production and club energy. In 2010 the modular project—“Body Talk Pt. 1”, “Body Talk Pt. 2” and then “Body Talk”—deepened this aesthetic, blending synthetic rhythms, dance-music-like structures and introspective songwriting often centered on relationships and loneliness on the dance floor. Her career was also shaped by notable collaborations with the Nordic electronic scene, notably with producer Kleerup and the Norwegian duo Röyksopp, which cemented her position at the intersection of pop and club music. With “Honey” (2018), Robyn continued to explore a minimalist, textured pop sound that favors emotional atmospheres and formats designed both for clubs and for intimate listening.
