Paceshifters

Formed in 2008 in Wijhe, Netherlands, Paceshifters craft tense, direct alternative rock rooted in garage rock and grunge, with a melodic sensibility that remains firmly within the power-trio format. Initially driven by brothers Paul and Seb Dokman, the lineup was stabilised by the addition of drummer Jesper Albers in 2013. The band attracted early attention with a split EP shared with Supersuckers in 2009 and the single "I Don’t Listen", recorded with Peter van Elderen of Peter Pan Speedrock. They went on to play extensively across Dutch stages and at higher-profile events such as De Wereld Draait Door, Black Cross and Eurosonic. Paceshifters’ discography ranges from One for the Road (2010) to Home (2012), recorded in Colorado with producer Ed Stasium, followed by Breach (2014), Waiting to Derail (2017), Brand New Plan (2021) and Out and Outer (2024). Over the years they have also appeared at festivals like Pinkpop and Zwarte Cross, balancing abrasive riffs, a taut tempo and more open choruses while maintaining a raw rock aesthetic.
