NOËP

Born in Tallinn, Andres Kõpper has developed NOËP since the mid-2010s as a project positioned between electropop, alternative pop and electronic music with danceable contours, featuring direct writing, melodic refrains and productions that blend synthetic textures, punchy rhythms and indie touches. Initially active on the Estonian scene, NOËP emerged with a series of singles including Rooftop in 2016, followed by Jennifer Lawrence in 2017, before releasing the Heads in the Clouds EP in 2018. His journey alternates between tracks calibrated for the pop format and pieces more tied to electronic circuits, which leads him to circulate between clubs, festivals and pop stages in Northern Europe and beyond. Over the course of releases, NOËP collaborates notably with Chinchilla, Liis Lemsalu, Sander Mölder, Emily Roberts, Malou, Maarja Nuut and Ruum, in a register that remains centered on a flexible electronic pop, sometimes brighter, sometimes darker. His discography then includes the album No Man Is an Island in 2021, followed by Move Your Feet in 2023. In NOËP, the tracks often rest on a balance between light vocals, discreet groove, catchy melodic lines and pared-back electronic production, with an aesthetic that borrows as much from contemporary pop as from melodic dance.
