Noémie Wolfs

Born in Montaigu-Zichem, Belgium, in 1988, Noémie Wolfs works in a register that blends pop, pop rock, trip-hop and electronic textures, with songwriting centered on the voice and tracks often built around restrained, melodic atmospheres. She first came to public attention as a member of Hooverphonic, which she joined in 2010 as lead singer after Geike Arnaert’s departure. She was part of an important period for the band, visible on the albums The Night Before (2010), Hooverphonic with Orchestra (2012), Hooverphonic with Orchestra Live (2012) and Reflection (2013), in a repertoire where orchestral pop, a velvety darkness and a trip‑hop legacy meet. After leaving Hooverphonic in 2015, Noémie Wolfs embarked on a solo career, releasing Hunt You in 2016 and Lonely Boy’s Paradise in 2020 — the latter largely written and composed with Simon Casier, bassist of Balthazar — before Wild at Heart in 2023. In her solo discography she has developed a more intimate approach, between alternative pop, synthetic ballads and English-language songs with cinematic contours, regularly presented on Belgian and European stages.
