Ntò
Born in Naples in 1982, Antonio Riccardi—known as Ntò—develops a rap rooted in Neapolitan urban reality, with lyrics that blend street phrasing, soul melodies and regular use of dialect. His career begins in the late 1990s as part of the duo Co'Sang, formed with Luchè, within a local hip‑hop scene characterised by self‑production and neighborhood narratives. With Co'Sang, Ntò released Chi more pe' mme in 2005 and Vita bona in 2009, two records that established the group in Italian rap before they split in 2012. Ntò then pursued a solo path and gathered around him the collective Stirpe Nova; together they released Numero 9 in 2014, following his first solo album Il coraggio impossibile in 2013. Subsequent releases confirm a rap more open to sung choruses and productions with soul and contemporary touches, from Col sangue (2016) to Rinascimento (2019) and Nevada (2020), where Ntò alternates introspective tracks, more direct songs and collaborations with artists such as Enzo Avitabile and Clementino. In 2022 he put out the EP 999, before Co'Sang returned in 2024 with the album Dinastia, reviving this essential strand of his career.
