Pauli The PSM

Under the names PAULi, Pauli Lovejoy and Pauli The PSM, Paul Stanley McKenzie has developed in London a career at the crossroads of percussion, musical direction and solo songwriting that blends alternative pop, hip‑hop, R&B, rock and electronica. Revealed early as a drummer—winning the Young Drummer of the Year award in 2005—Pauli The PSM first made his mark on live and cross‑scene stages, working with Gorillaz Sound System, Africa Express and Damon Albarn, before directing stage formats for FKA twigs and Jamie xx. That experience as a musician and musical director feeds a personal project in which rhythm remains central, with tracks that pair percussive tension, soulful vocals and hybrid production. Launched solo with “Give Me a Sign” in 2014, the project took shape on the EP THE IDEA OF TOMORROW (2016) and continued with Secret Life of a Badman (2018), Secret Life of a Badman (Vol. 2) (2021) and OFFAIR: The Power of your Subconscious Mind Vol 1: SPACE (2022). Concurrently, Pauli The PSM has maintained an extensive stage practice, notably alongside Harry Styles on Love on Tour and later as a DJ supporting U2’s residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas in 2023 and 2024.
