Muro
In Vallecas, a neighborhood of Madrid, Muro formed in 1981 in a style between classic heavy metal and speed metal, with fast playing, tight riffs and choruses driven by a very direct energy. After several lineup changes in the early 1980s, the arrival of singer Silverio Solórzano, known as Silver, in 1985 fixed Muro's most identifiable lineup around José Manuel Navarro "Largo" on guitar, Julio Rico "Julito" on bass and Juan Ramón Ruiz "Lapi" on drums. Muro first recorded the live album Acero y Sangre in 1987, then released the albums Telón de Acero (1988), Mutant Hunter (1989) and Pacto de Sangre (1992), before a first hiatus in the early 1990s. The band resumed at the end of the decade with Peligro Inminente (1999) and Corazón de Metal (2001) in a reshaped configuration, and documented that period on stage with Este Muro no se Cae (2003) and Enterrados en Vivo 1987-2003 (2004). Reactivated in 2009 with its classic lineup, Muro returned to concerts and released El Cuarto Jinete in 2013. Since Silver's retirement that same year, vocals have been handled by Rosa Pérez "Rocksa", while Muro continues its journey on the Spanish metal scene.
