Oliver $

Under the names Oliver $ and Oliver Dollar, Oliver Siebert, born in 1982, built his career between Barth, a small town in northern Germany near Rügen, and Berlin, where he settled in the 2000s. Early exposed to progressive house by his cousin Jan Driver, he then moved toward a drier, more frontal house in line with Berlin's fidget house scene, and released on labels such as Grand Petrol Recordings, Man Recordings, Made to Play and Play It Down. His early discography includes the albums Poor Boy (2005) and Hotflash! (2006). Oliver $ reached another dimension in 2011 with 'Doin’ Ya Thang,' a track built around a Moodymann sample that marked a turning point in his trajectory. His repertoire remains tied to club-focused house, with crisp rhythms, catchy loops and a direct approach to groove. In 2014 Oliver Dollar also released 'Pushing On' with Swiss producer Jimi Jules, another important track in his career. Between DJ activity and productions, Oliver $ is part of a continuous house tradition rooted in European scenes and the Berlin environment.
