OK Go
Formed in Chicago in 1998 and relocating to Los Angeles in the early 2000s, OK Go consists of Damian Kulash, Tim Nordwind, Dan Konopka and, since 2005, Andy Ross, who joined after Andy Duncan's departure. The quartet operates between alternative rock, power pop, pop rock and indie rock, producing melodic, nervous songs that have often taken on a more danceable rhythmic sensibility from the 2010s onward. After two self-released EPs, OK Go issued the album OK Go in 2002, followed by Oh No in 2005, which broadened their audience and firmly established the band on American and British rock and indie stages. Their subsequent work shows a noticeable sonic evolution: from the efficient guitar-pop of their early years to funkier, pop-oriented textures on Of the Blue Colour of the Sky (2010), and toward a more synth-driven songwriting on Hungry Ghosts (2014). Alongside their discography, OK Go has built much of its profile around music videos featuring choreographed setups, single takes and visual illusions—most famously Here It Goes Again, which won a Grammy in 2007. The band also collaborated with Bonerama on the EP You’re Not Alone (2008) and with Perfume on the single I Don’t Understand You (2016). After several years without a new studio album, OK Go released And the Adjacent Possible in 2025.
