Nosfell
Born in Saint-Ouen, Seine-Saint-Denis, Nosfell has since the early 2000s developed a singular arc at the crossroads of rock, chanson, folk and a pop with experimental edges. A singer, guitarist and songwriter, he first builds his universe around klokobetz, an imaginary language linked to the mythology of Klokochazia, which runs through his early records and gives his writing a marked narrative dimension. Discovered on stage before breaking through on record, Nosfell has drawn attention in French festival and venue circuits, often accompanied by cellist Pierre Le Bourgeois, a central partner in balancing acoustic tension, repetitive motifs and broader arrangements. His discography includes the EP Khayidilo (2003), followed by the albums Pomaïe Klokochazia balek (2004), Kälin Bla Lemsnit Dünfel Labyanit (2006), Nosfell (2009), Amour massif (2014) and Echo Zulu (2017). Over the years Nosfell has evolved his approach toward a more direct writing style, notably in French, without abandoning a taste for hybrid forms. His career also includes collaborations with Philippe Decouflé for the shows Octopus (2010) and Contact (2015), which extend his work in a close relationship between music, body and stage.
