Antoine Clamaran

Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1964, Antoine Clamaran began DJing in Parisian clubs in the early 1980s, first at the Whisky à Gogo, then at the Palace and the Queen, where he became part of the evolution of France’s house nightlife. Clamaran built a musical world centered on direct, rhythmic and percussive club house—often close to tribal house—with efficient arrangements, prominent vocals and Latin touches that mark many of his productions. In the 1990s and 2000s he developed an extensive discography under his own name and several aliases, frequently working with Laurent Pautrat, while launching the Pool e Music label. His career also included radio work, from Maxximum to FG, alongside a steady DJ presence in France and internationally. On the album front he released Release Yourself in 2002 and Spotlight in 2009. He also produced numerous remixes for dance and pop artists and producers such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Gloria Estefan, David Guetta, Bob Sinclar and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, placing him firmly within the enduring trajectory of Parisian and European club cultures.
