Jake Worthington

Between La Porte, a small Texas town, and Nashville, Jake Worthington has developed a style deeply rooted in American country tradition, blending honky-tonk, old-fashioned ballads and neotraditional sounds. He came to public attention in 2014 on season 6 of The Voice US, where he stood out on Blake Shelton’s team, and he sustained that visibility through regular touring and a steady presence on the Texas live circuit. His self-titled debut EP appeared in 2015, signaling a commitment to straightforward, melody-driven country — carried by a rough-voiced delivery and a taste for mid-tempos and danceable slow numbers. From 2017, with songs like “How Do You Honky Tonk,” Worthington became more active within the Nashville scene while keeping strong ties to clubs and venues across the southern United States. Signed to Big Loud, he released a full-length studio album in 2023, also called “Jake Worthington,” featuring a mix of barroom songs, country waltzes and occasional duets with other contemporary artists, confirming a trajectory focused on a classic, guitar-, steel- and fiddle-centered repertoire without notable incursions into mainstream pop.
