Heideroosjes

Formed in 1989 in Horst, in the Dutch province of Limburg, Heideroosjes built a sound rooted in fast, direct and melodic punk rock, with hardcore accents and a marked taste for communal choruses, irony and socially or politically charged lyrics. The band, long active as a quartet, first made its mark on the Dutch independent scene with Noisy Fairytales in 1993 and Choice For A Lost Generation?! in 1994, before broadening its audience in the 1990s with Fifi (1996), Kung-Fu (1997) and Schizo (1999). Heideroosjes alternates songs in Dutch, English and occasionally German, accompanying frequent movement between the scenes of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Over the years they have played festivals such as Pinkpop, Lowlands, Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop and Groezrock, toured across Europe, appeared in the United States and Japan, and released records including Fast Forward (2001), SINema (2004), Chapter Eight: The Golden State (2007), Cease-Fire (2011) and the EP Infocalyps (2021). After splitting in 2012, Heideroosjes resumed activity from 2019 with anniversary concerts and new tracks released in 2020 and 2024.
