Enuff Z'Nuff
Formed in 1984 in Blue Island, Illinois by singer Donnie Vie and bassist Chip Z'Nuff, Enuff Z'Nuff sits at the crossroads of glam metal, hard rock, power pop and melodic psychedelic rock. Behind the flashy aesthetic of their early years, the Chicago-area band developed a sound combining heavy guitars, vocal harmonies and pop songwriting, evident on Enuff Z'Nuff (1989), Strength (1991) and Animals with Human Intelligence (1993). They gained visibility with the songs “New Thing” and “Fly High Michelle,” and through appearances on MTV, the Late Show with David Letterman and Howard Stern's program. After their major-label period, Enuff Z'Nuff continued on independent labels, undergoing numerous lineup changes but maintaining steady activity onstage and in the studio, notably in the United States, Japan and Europe. The group re-formed around Donnie Vie and Chip Z'Nuff in the 2000s to release Dissonance in 2009, before Vie departed again in 2013. Since then Chip Z'Nuff has taken over lead vocals, and Enuff Z'Nuff has expanded its discography with Diamond Boy (2018), Brainwashed Generation (2020), Hardrock Nite (2021) and Finer Than Sin (2022).
