Guti

Born in Argentina, Guti initially evolved in rock before turning to electronic music, a path that explains the central role of improvisation and live playing in his work. Later settling in Europe, he develops a minimal and melodic house driven by Latin accents, organic groove, and a very musical approach to production. Guti made a mark on the electronic scene around the turn of the 2010s, notably with the album Patagonia in 2010 on Desolat, followed by releases on several labels related to house and techno. His language remains marked by flexible rhythms, warm textures, and a way of making club depth, harmonies inherited from jazz, and live energy talk to each other. Over the years, Guti has moved between DJ sets, live performances, and collaborations, while maintaining a recognizable identity in the European and South American underground house scenes. In 2024, Guti focuses on El Nuevo Sonido Latino, a label conceived as a meeting space between Latin American sounds and contemporary electronic music, continuing a path that links club culture, composition, and rhythmic research.
