Electrophazz

Formed in Tours, Electrophazz has since the late 2000s brought together several musicians around a crossing of jazz, hip-hop, soul, funk and electronic music, in a live-driven band format. Electrophazz develops a sound built on grooves, brass and vocals, with a significant emphasis on rap and urban influences, in a balance between live energy and collective songwriting. Over its trajectory, the group has toured jazz stages, contemporary-music scenes and festivals in France as well as internationally, evolving its aesthetics toward a more direct fusion between organic instrumentation and contemporary textures. The presence of singer Mickaëlle Leslie and London rapper Eneeks sheds light on this orientation, between soul, spoken word and hip-hop flow, supported by a dense rhythm section and a very prominent saxophone. Electrophazz's discography includes notably Human Feelings (2010), Space Playground (2015) and Back to the Future (2024), an album that brings the groove foundations of the group back to the foreground while continuing its work of blending jazz, R&B and hip-hop.
