Ego Kill Talent

Born in São Paulo in 2014 around Jean Dolabella and Theo van der Loo, Ego Kill Talent develops a hard rock sound informed by alternative metal and modern rock, with a dense, melodic and tense tone designed for live performance. Originally bringing together musicians who had been involved in several Brazilian groups, Ego Kill Talent first stood out for a stage concept in which members can swap instruments, before quickly expanding its reach between Brazil and Europe. After the EPs Sublimated (2015), Still Here (2016) and My Own Deceiver (2017), Ego Kill Talent released the album Ego Kill Talent in 2017, followed by The Dance Between Extremes in 2021. The band has appeared on stages such as Lollapalooza Brasil and Rock in Rio, and has shared bills with acts like System of a Down, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Within Temptation and Metallica. Over the course of this trajectory, Ego Kill Talent has increased collaborations with other artists, notably Far From Alaska, John Dolmayan, Roy Mayorga and Andreas Kisser. The departure of singer Jonathan Dörr in 2022 opened a new phase, marked by the arrival of Emmily Barreto as vocalist and the EP Call Us By Her Name in 2023; the current lineup comprises Emmily Barreto, Theo van der Loo, Niper Boaventura, Raphael Miranda and Cris Botarelli.
