Glorious

Born in Valence before settling in Lyon, Glorious took shape in 2002 around the Pouzin brothers, in the wake of the 2000 World Youth Days. Initially a trio and later refocused on Thomas and Benjamin Pouzin, Glorious developed contemporary Christian music blending pop-worship, Christian rock and, at times, electro-pop writing, with choruses designed for congregational singing and straightforward arrangements. After a first period marked by the albums Glorious (2002), Libre (2003) and Des ombres et des lumières (2006), the group paused its activity in 2007 before returning at the end of 2008 with the Lyon Centre project, linked to the regular leading of worship sessions across the Lyon metropolitan area. This relaunch steered Glorious toward a more liturgical and community-oriented expression, heard on Génération louange (2008) and Citoyens des Cieux (2010). Over the years, Glorious has moved between concerts, churches, major Catholic gatherings and events such as the Frat or World Youth Days, while broadening its palette with Electro pop louange (2013), 1 000 échos (2016), Promesse (2018), Royaume vol.1 (2020), Royaume vol.2 (2021), Ruah (2023) and Yeshua (2024). Along the way, Glorious has also crossed paths with artists like Exo, Natasha St-Pier and Hopen, always in a register where pop serves a French-language worship repertoire.
