Dolly Style

Launched in Stockholm in 2014 by Emma Nors and Palle Hammarlund, Dolly Style develops a Swedish pop sound positioned between eurodance, bubblegum dance and light dance-pop, featuring short choruses, brisk tempos and a visual identity inspired by the Japanese subcultures fairy kei, gyaru and lolita. Dolly Style is built around stage characters—Holly, Polly, Molly and, since 2023, Yolly—portrayed by different singers over the years; the current lineup comprises Vilma Davidsson, Caroline Aronsson, Annie Moreau and Mikaela Samuelsson. The project took shape with the single “Hello Hi” in 2015, produced with Jimmy Jansson, and continued with tracks such as “Cherry Gum”, “Upsy Daisy” and “Rollercoaster”. Dolly Style’s trajectory remains closely linked to Melodifestivalen, where the group competed in 2015, 2016, 2019 with “Habibi”, and in 2025 with “Yihaa”. Alongside singles, Dolly Style released the EPs Moonlight (2017) and Sunrise (2019). Since its inception the project has seen several member changes while maintaining a formula based on danceable pop, harmonised vocals and staging built around fixed roles.
