Corpus Delicti
Formed in Nice in 1992, Corpus Delicti quickly established themselves as a major figure in gothic rock with their debut album Twilight, which combined post-punk energy with powerful, haunting melodies. After a meteoric rise and tours across the United States and Europe, the band split in 1997, even as their reputation continued to grow thanks to a loyal international fan base. In 2019 the American label Cleopatra reissued their discography, reigniting interest from a new generation of listeners. Three years later Corpus Delicti reformed, sold out a show in Cannes and embarked on a world tour. The comeback met with success, particularly in Mexico and across Europe, where their concerts drew fervent crowds. In 2023 they marked their return to the studio with the single “Chaos,” produced in the United States, a prelude to a string of notable concerts in 2024, including an extraordinary performance at Manchester Cathedral and a double live album. Their new record Liminal, scheduled for November 2025, promises a sound that is dark, modern and timeless, produced in collaboration with Jean-Luc Verna, confirming Corpus Delicti as a lasting pillar of international gothic rock.
