Connie Talbot

Born in Birmingham, England, Connie Talbot first came to public attention as a child when she reached the final of the first season of Britain’s Got Talent in 2007. That was the starting point of a career initially rooted in vocal pop, ballads and covers of standards. She released Over the Rainbow in 2007, followed by Connie Talbot’s Christmas Album (2008) and Connie Talbot’s Holiday Magic (2009), a family-oriented, melodic style that found an audience across the UK and in Asia, where she regularly performs—especially in South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. With Beautiful World (2012) and the EP Gravity (2014) she moved more clearly toward personal songwriting. That direction was confirmed with Matters to Me (2016), a teen-pop album with more contemporary arrangements, followed by several original singles and the EP Growing Pains (2023), which reveals more intimate writing and a more adult pop sound—between piano, acoustic guitar and light production. In parallel, she has collaborated with Boyce Avenue on several covers and reappeared on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2019 and America’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2020, performing her own compositions.
