Dééfait

Born in Paris in 2023, Dééfait brings together Riki Lara, Lucas and Pablo Valero, Enir Da and Grégoire Couvert around a taut and repetitive rock that crosses krautrock, noise rock, abrasive psychedelia and proto-punk accents. The band works long forms, carried by looping guitars, insistent percussion and voices that merge into a dense sonic mass, with a very physical approach to repetition and trance. Dééfait first made itself heard on stage, in a raw and frontal register where collective energy holds a central place. The available sources allow identifying a first EP, Dééfait, released in 2025 on Ici, d’ailleurs, with six tracks that develop the same taste for saturation, progressive crescendos and open structures. Dééfait's sound evokes both certain traditions of European experimental rock and wilder forms of post-punk and noise, without aiming for a quotation effect. A first album, recorded by Peter Deimel at the Black Box Studio, is announced for 2026.
