Ohrenfeindt

Founded in Hamburg in 1994 around singer and bassist Chris Laut, Ohrenfeindt evolves into direct, bluesy hard rock sung in German, where dry riffs, a driving tempo, and imagery closely tied to St. Pauli, the road, and bar rock'n'roll intersect. The band, now formed as a trio with Chris Laut, guitarist Pierre 'Keule' Blesse, and drummer Robert 'Jöcky' Jöcks, has undergone several lineup changes before stabilizing an identity nourished as much by classic hard rock as by a more populist sense of German rock. After Schmutzige Liebe in 2003, Ohrenfeindt released several albums that chart its path, including Rock’n’Roll Sexgott (2005), Mit Vollgas & Blaulicht (2007), Schwarz auf Weiss (2011), Auf die Fresse ist umsonst (2013), Motor an! (2015), Zwei Fäuste für Rock’n’Roll (2017), Tanz nackt (2018), Das Geld liegt auf der Straße (2020), and Wenn der Teufel anruft (2024). The band's live trajectory has also taken shape on stage, between clubs, rock festivals and biker events, with regular live activity documented by several live releases, including Krawallgeigensymphonie (2022), recorded at Hamburg's Gruenspan.
