Collin Raye
Born in 1960 in De Queen, Arkansas, Collin Raye grew up between Arkansas and Texas in a musical family before becoming known on the American country scene. Initially active with his brother in the Wray Brothers Band and later with The Wrays in the 1980s, he moved to Nashville and launched a solo career around the turn of the 1990s. Signed to Epic Records, Collin Raye released the album All I Can Be in 1991, followed by In This Life in 1992, Extremes in 1994 and I Think About You in 1995, which established him in a country style blending melodic ballads, pop influences and more up‑tempo songs. His songwriting emphasizes intimate stories and social and family themes, which became a recurring hallmark of his repertoire. Afterwards, Collin Raye diversified his discography with projects oriented toward contemporary country, Christian music and tribute/cover albums, such as Fearless (2006), His Love Remains (2011) and Still on the Line, The Songs of Glen Campbell (2013), while remaining active on North American country stages.
