Shantidas

Based in France, Shantidas develops work situated between noise, industrial, electronic experimentation and sonic performance, in an approach that blends détournement, saturation and play on the material of sound. Shantidas is also identified as the guitarist of Aluk Todolo, a French band active at the crossroads of black metal, krautrock and repetitive music, which partly illuminates his taste for long forms, abrasive tensions and radical devices. In solo projects, Shantidas operates within contexts related to experimental and underground scenes, with interventions where objects, gestures and the transformation of sound occupy a central place.
