E.R. Thorpe
Raised in the rural north of Nottinghamshire, E.R. Thorpe develops a writing at the crossroads of folk, the British singer-songwriter tradition, and a sober indie-pop, carried by a deep voice and a marked focus on storytelling. Her world is anchored in landscapes, memories, and a visual sensibility that nourishes spare songs, often centered on the intimate, memory, and transformation. E.R. Thorpe also performs on the Nottingham scene, notably alongside The Low Drift, a collective inspired by the stories and folklore of the British Isles. Among her early releases are the EP Guided By The Sea (Came Death), released in 2023, followed by the single Human Love released in December on Vicious Charm Recordings. Around this project, E.R. Thorpe surrounds herself with musicians tied to the local and British scene, with production by Jim Baron, also active within Crazy P, as well as contributions from Huw Costin, Kev Bales, Matt Klose, and Simon Paterson. Her debut album, Human Love, is announced for March 2026. Between contemporary folk, acoustic textures, and an atmospheric approach, E.R. Thorpe is building a human-scale repertoire, where the precision of words holds a central place.
