I Am Morbid

Founded in the United States in 2016, I Am Morbid brings together around David Vincent a group conceived to replay on stage a portion of Morbid Angel's early repertoire, in a direct, dense and aggressive death metal style. The project was born after Vincent and drummer Tim Yeung left Morbid Angel, with from the outset a live group formula centered on songs drawn notably from Altars of Madness (1989), Blessed Are the Sick (1991), Covenant (1993) and Domination (1995). I Am Morbid gave its first concert in 2017 in Russia before following with tours and metal festivals in Europe and elsewhere, with activity mainly live rather than discographic. The lineup has evolved over the years: Bill Hudson has been on guitar since the departure, Pete Sandoval joined the group in 2021, then Richie Brown in 2022, consolidating a lineup that relies on fast execution, dark riffs and a strongly accentuated rhythm section. I Am Morbid has not released a studio album to date and functions above all as a project of covers and stage celebration of a precise facet of American death metal.
