Born in Oslo at the end of 2023, scoreboard brings together musicians who have passed through FOAMMM and Clowder into a trio format centered on a noisy, atmospheric shoegaze. The band develops a sound made of dense guitars, voices submerged in the mix and a more restrained rhythm, in an aesthetic that crosses the heritage of 1990s shoegaze with more contemporary approaches to noise pop and indie rock. Scoreboard began to attract attention with the singles 'ropey rampage' and 'rush spells', released in 2024, the first milestones of a repertoire still new but already well defined. On stage, the trio quickly toured several Norwegian venues, notably Landmark, John Dee, Revolver and Goldie, before widening its reach. In 2025, scoreboard appears on the bill at Øyafestivalen in Oslo, then plays in London as part of a date organized by Other Side Promotions. Through these early concerts and initial releases, scoreboard sits in a new generation of Norwegian bands reinvigorating shoegaze with a marked taste for blurred textures, buried melodies and rising saturation.
