Healees

Born in Paris in 2016, Healees brings together Bryan Quinn, an American musician based in France, and Renaud Chaure, originally from Brittany, joined by Swedish bassist Hillevi Robertsson and drummer Hugo Renaud. The quartet develops a guitar-bass-drums format anchored in shoegaze, with touches of new wave, noise pop and power pop, between layers of guitars, misty melodies and direct rhythms. After an initial series of demos released in 2020, Healees released a self-titled maxi-EP in 2022 on the Toulouse label Hidden Bay Records. The group then released its first album, Healees, in 2024, published by Hidden Bay Records, Safe Suburban Home Records and Indie or Die Records. On stage, Healees participates in a European indie and noise circuit, with dates shared notably with Ride and Lorelle Meets the Obsolete. Their music articulates dense and reverb-laden textures with a more concise writing inherited from guitar pop, in a balance between tension, melodic clarity and enveloping atmospheres.
