Christoff
Born in Ninove, Belgium, Christoff De Bolle established himself in the early 1990s on the Flemish scene with a popular song situated between schlager, levenslied, and Dutch-language variété. After his first singles at the turn of the decade, he developed a repertoire centered on direct melodies, catchy refrains, and sentimental writing that has kept him a fixture in the circuit of festive stages and mainstream pop songs in Flanders. Christoff notably released Intro in 1996, In volle vlucht in 1997, then Millennium in 1999, before a marked comeback in the mid-2000s with Blauwe ogen in 2007, Zeven zonden in 2008 and 1001 nachten in 2009. His trajectory also includes several duos, notably with his sister Lindsay, as well as the albums Christoff & vrienden in 2011 and Christoff & vrienden 2 in 2013, which extend his work in a convivial variety vein and renditions adapted to his style. From 2015, Christoff also joins the trio Klubbb3 alongside Jan Smit and Florian Silbereisen, opening his career further to the German-speaking public, in line with his German-language albums Blaue Augen in 2009, Das geht klar in 2010 and Feuerwerk in 2012. More recently, Christoff has evolved his formula toward a more pop-oriented production without leaving the schlager universe, as illustrated by Dit ben ik in 2023 and the live Christoff zingt Tura, released in the same year.
