Dethroned

Formed in Dresden in 2019, Dethroned evolves at the junction of melodic death metal and hardcore, with a sound that blends sharp guitars, heavy rhythms, and heavier passages inherited from moshing and breakdowns. The band situates itself in an aesthetic that recalls both the nervous energy of Swedish death metal and the frontal impact of contemporary hardcore scenes, without being limited to a single register. Dethroned initially circulated on the local scene and in the German metal and hardcore live circuit, developing a direct and compact approach. Their first album, War Will Kill Us All, marks a clear step in this trajectory, giving more breadth to their writing with more pronounced melodic riffs, guitar overlays, and production designed to preserve the tension of their live shows. Dethroned's lyrics address themes related to war, oppression and inner struggles, in a dark and unflinching perspective. Dethroned thus defends a format where the efficiency of hardcore meets the density of melodic death metal.
