Neu Oscuro

Born in Manchester’s underground, Neu Oscuro brings together Rhys Bloodjoy with Le Crowley, also active in Astral Elevator, and David Sheffield of Bones Shake, in a trio format centered on dark and minimalist writing. The project extends a darker strand of Bloodjoy’s solo work by moving it toward an obscure post-punk, permeated by psychedelic influences and a direct approach to rhythm. Neu Oscuro develops a sound made of deep synthetic basses, repetitive loops, and live-played percussion, with a dry tension that remains anchored in British alternative scenes. This articulation between motor pulse, melodic darkness, and stripped-down approach places Neu Oscuro at the crossroads of psych rock, post-punk, and cold electronic music without demonstrative emphasis.
