Red Money

Between Paris, Tours, Nashville, Berlin and Pau, Red Money has over the years built a mobile path that clearly illuminates the identity of the duo Laure and Arnaud. Active since the 2010s, Red Money operates in a register between minimal post-punk, garage rock and indie rock, with a taut, direct sound and no superfluous embellishment. The numerous concerts in Europe and the United States have nourished this nerve-wracking writing, carried by a duo dynamic and a frontal approach to the stage. Their trajectory includes a stay in Nashville, interrupted by the pandemic, followed by a return to Europe marked by Berlin, whose musical environment has counted in the project's recent evolution. Despite personal and geographical changes, Red Money has continued its activity preserving a tightened aesthetic line, made of dry guitars at the attack, angular rhythms and a very legible rock tension. The stretch of their journey between France, the United States and Germany is reflected in a music that blends urgency, minimalism and raw energy. Red Money thus remains attached to a form of contemporary independent rock, at once physical, sometimes dark, and always anchored in the efficiency of the duo format.
