Sexbomba
Formed in 1986 in Legionowo, near Warsaw, Sexbomba has since its beginnings occupied a durable place in the Polish punk rock scene with a repertoire ranging between punk, rock’n’roll and direct rock with melodic refrains. The group quickly drew attention in the indie circuit by participating in the Jarocin festival in its early years, then at other important dates on the Polish alternative scene such as Róbrege, while playing numerous concerts in Poland and abroad. Around singer Robert Szymański, founding member who remained at the heart of the project despite several lineup changes, Sexbomba develops an energetic, upfront and catchy style, driven by short songs, clear guitars and a strong sense of the chorus. Their discography begins with To niemożliwe in 1990, followed notably by Alkohol in 1992, Zamachy bombowe in 1993, Viva in 1996, Hallo to ja in 1999, Historia jakiej nie znał świat in 2001, NEWYORKSYTY in 2005, Ctrl+Alt+Delete in 2011, Abstrahuj in 2013, Spam in 2016, XXXV in 2021 and Sztuczna Inteligencja Kontra Prawdziwa Głupota in 2024. Sexbomba also participated in collective projects and split releases, notably with Prawda and Farben Lehre, which prolongs its anchoring in Polish punk while showing a trajectory active across decades.
