NaJeh
Based in Hamburg, NaJeh develops a sound anchored in late 1990s and early 2000s house, with a pronounced sensibility for hip-hop samples, tight grooves, lively hi-hats and deliberately raw textures. Active on the city’s underground scene, NaJeh is linked to the Café Soda collective, where he serves as resident and musical director, in a setting that has brought him to cross paths with artists such as Saoirse, Ryan Elliott, Cromby, Sally C, or Chloé Caillet. His producer career gained new visibility with “Chica”, a track produced with Ben Evers and Disorder, later released on Saoirse’s TrUSt Recordings. The track circulated in clubs before its official release, notably in Saoirse’s selections, and helped bring NaJeh’s name to wider prominence beyond Hamburg. His music remains focused on the dancefloor’s effectiveness, without seeking demonstrative effects, with a direct sense of rhythm and writing that draws as much from classic house as from a sampling culture inherited from hip-hop. NaJeh thus sits within a generation of producers for whom the club, the selections, and the building of a local identity matter as much as the discography itself.
