Oda

Formed in Paris in 2021, Oda brings together Cyril, Thomas and Emmanuel in a power trio that operates at the junction of heavy psych, doom and stoner rock. The band grew up in an underground setting, with dense and slow music in places, threaded by massive riffs, dark tensions and more aerial passages with psychedelic colors. Oda emphasizes a marked contrast between rhythmic heaviness, thick saturation and harmonies with more floating contours, in an aesthetic that borrows as much from doom as from the roughest psych-rock. Anchored in the Paris scene, Oda develops a compact and frontal sound, not limited to a single register, by coexisting the impact of stoner, the darkness of doom and almost spectral atmospheres. Oda's debut album Bloodstained is announced for 2024.
