Adele Dazeem

Based in east London, Adele Dazeem brings together Charlie Hearl on vocals and guitar, Philippe O’Connor on bass and Frank Andrews on drums. Formed in 2020, the trio develops a register situated between shoegaze, dream pop and alternative rock, with tracks where dense, taut guitars intersect with more diffuse atmospheres. The name Adele Dazeem, borrowed from a famous mispronunciation turned pop reference, accompanies a body of work focused on questions of identity, doubling and perception. The band began to attract attention with the tracks 'Misère' and 'Deep Sea Hand', released on Sonic Cathedral as part of the Metanoia EP. In this first release, Adele Dazeem articulates direct writing with a hazy aesthetic, balancing melodic tension, tightened rhythms and airy textures. The trio also shared the bill with LSD & The Search For God and Whitelands, in a circuit close to British indie venues where contemporary shoegaze and atmospheric rock intersect.
