Lila-May
Born in Île-de-France in Val-d’Oise and based near Angers, Lila-May develops very early an English-language writing nourished by contemporary pop, vocal jazz and the world of American musicals. Still in high school at the time of her first tracks, Lila-May shapes her songs with her brother in an artisanal setting, between original compositions and covers, with an approach that blends flexible phrasing, pop melodies and references to standards. Her emergence begins first on social media, where her videos quickly attract attention, before the release of the singles Ain't Going Anywhere, History Repeating and then Bring It Back. Her first EP, Out Of Time, lays the foundations of this aesthetic in a balance between jazz heritage, contemporary pop and a very upfront vocal interpretation, also including a rendition of Dream a Little Dream of Me. The influences often cited around Lila-May range from Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter and Laufey to Elvis Presley, Ray Charles or Frank Sinatra, a crossing that sheds light on a repertoire where the sense of standards, current production and personal writing coexist. An album, Before I Blink, is announced for 2026.
