Fabe Beaurel Bambi
Born in Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo, Fabe Beaurel Bambi develops his musical practice very early in choirs, before autodidactically building a language where percussion, singing and composition intersect. Based in France at the turn of the 2020s, he first follows in the footsteps of musicians such as Thomas de Pourquery and Supersonic, then Laurent Bardainne & Tigre d’Eau Douce, experiences that accompany his arrival on the French scene and refine an aesthetics at the crossroads of Congolese rhythms, Afrobeat, jazz, soul, funk and rumba. Fabe Beaurel Bambi develops parallel to this his own projects, with an approach focused on dialogue between Central African traditions and contemporary forms, blending percussive grooves, vocal harmonies, flute motifs and afro-jazz textures. In 2023, he launches Élikia, a project conceived as a meeting space between musical heritages, improvisation and collective writing. His career also leads him to collaborate with Gabi Hartmann, Théo Ceccaldi, Tiwayo, Sonny Troupé or Maxime Delpierre, while also carrying out transmission activities around percussion, notably with young audiences. His first album, Sala Sala, is announced for 2026.
