Lilac Attitude

Lilac Attitude brings together in Berlin Jacky on vocals and keyboards, Daisy on guitar, Raku on bass and Squid on drums in a lineup that formed first on the live scene before settling as a band. The quartet moves in a range between grunge, indie rock and garage, with straightforward songwriting, thick guitars, a nervous rhythm and melodies that keep a degree of clarity amid raw energy. Lilac Attitude uses the expression 'floral grunge' to describe a sound where tension, roughness and a certain pop momentum coexist without a heavy-handed stylistic display. The project is rooted in a DIY context, nourished by gigs, an unvarnished aesthetic and a group dynamic based on collective momentum as much as on the contrasts between voice, keyboards and guitar saturation. Still relatively young, Lilac Attitude develops an identity drawing on the 1990s alternative heritage while remaining anchored in a Berlin scene open to crossovers between indie rock, punk attitude and personal expression.
