Patch +
Patch+ brings together Alex DeWahl and Franklin Wallace, joined as projects by Ezra Kahn and Christian Vartanian, in a musical configuration that extends their work since 2017 at Scissor Studio, a structure founded after their meeting at art school and located at the crossroads of design, image and technology. The project develops in a register that blends minimal post-punk, synth-pop, lo-fi electro-pop, and downtempo textures, with concise writing, bass in the foreground, fragmented guitars, and vocal processing often cold or distanced. Patch+ circulates these elements between pop formats, electronic experiments, and a highly constructed visual approach, in an aesthetic that remains tied to the duo's graphic universe. Patch+'s early releases appear in the early 2020s, before the 2023 album WhitePaper, a central reference point in the project's discography. The group then continues in this direction with Series A, announced for 2026, emphasizing the dialogue between restrained melodies, dry rhythms, and oblique moods. Between art, design and music, Patch+ thus sits within a collaborative practice where composition, visual identity, and formal research advance together.
