Gypsy Pistoleros

Formed in Worcester, England, Gypsy Pistoleros has since the mid-2000s developed a hybrid rock that blends glam rock, punk, hard rock and flamenco influences inspired by the band’s singer Lee J. Pistolero’s move to Zaragoza. Around this nucleus led by Lee J. Pistolero, the band built a stage identity marked by a Latin, Gothic and rock’n’roll imaginary, with songs where nerve-wracking riffs, direct choruses and Spanish motifs cross without seeking to prove anything. Gypsy Pistoleros' discography opens with En la Vida Real in 2005, then Wild, Beautiful y Damned in 2006 and Para Siempre in 2008, before the EP Welcome to the Hotel de la Muerte in 2009 and the album Duende: Last of the Pistoleros in 2011. After a somewhat more uneven period, Gypsy Pistoleros returns with The Greatest Flamenco Glam Sleaze Band Ever! in 2020, then The Mescalito Vampires in 2021 and Duende a Go Go Loco in 2023. The band has also undergone several lineup changes over the years, while remaining focused on this meeting between punk energy, glam theatre and Hispanisant imagery, in a register that is at once direct, melodic and deliberately excessive.
